Interview

If I hadn’t studied journalism, I would have loved to study fashion designing and learn more about the business.

Welcome to L’Officiel. What was your childhood like in Colombia & from where did you get the inspiration to be a model?

I grew up in a small town called Buga, Colombia. I always played the role of an actress and a model. I always acted in front of the mirror and created outfits using my mom’s and sister’s clothes.

We heard that you have graduated with a communications and journalism degree. If not a model, which profession would you be in right now?

If I hadn’t studied journalism, I would have loved to study fashion design and learn more about the business.

Interview

I always like to exercise, what I like the most is to do functional routines where I combine cardio with weights, I started 15 years ago.

What is the one thing that you spend most of your money on?

I love jewellery and handbags, but in life, you have to control yourself, so I invest money in different types of businesses such as real estate and also in the stock market.

You look extremely fit and gorgeous. What is your fitness regime and how much do you think fitness is important in ones life?

Thank you very much for your words, I appreciate it. For me, the most important thing is to be healthy. I always like to exercise, what I like the most is to do functional routines where I combine cardio with weights, I started 15 years ago. I also like to eat healthily. I start my day with green juice and I try to avoid red meats, refined sugars and saturated fats. I am not strict and sometimes surrender to my cravings, my weakness is French fries.

Interview

Timo is my most precious rock, he has a beautiful soul, he is kind, humble, hard-working, loving and very family oriented.

From a fashionista herself, what are your favourite go-to brands that we can find in your closet?

My favourite brands that I have in my closet are Chanel, Dior, Hermès, Zara and YSL.

Being an equity investor too; from where did you get the idea of investing? How much do you think investing is important in ones life?

I was always interested in learning to invest and grow my capital. My husband was the person who taught me and he still guides me. Investing is important because you grow your capital, but it is more important to invest in what you like.

Talking of love, You and Timo are our favourite couple. Where did you two meet? What were the qualities in Timo that you fell for?

Aww, you guys are so sweet. We met through a mutual friend in Miami. Timo is my most precious rock, he has a beautiful soul, he is kind, humble, hard-working, loving and very family-oriented. We share the same principles and values.

You also have a passion for travelling. If you were stranded with a person in an unknown location, what would it be and with whom?

Of course, with Timo and it could be in Tokyo, Japan. I would love to get to know that wonderful country.

Are there any projects that you are working on right now? Please shed some light on them.

One of my projects at the moment is a private equity investment into a next-generation battery technology which I am participating in – being part of the strategic business development team.

Our readers were very excited to have you on board. What is the message you would like to share with the people who aspire to be like you?

My advice to those women who may feel inspired by me is to be authentic. Doing everything from the heart, to go above anyone else and whatever level you are at, remain humble.  Helping people grow and sharing is the most beautiful thing we can do.
