We have adorned the red-carpet of Cannes since forever with every year comes something eccentric, but the 2022 version is something we’ll remember forever!
On May 17th the aura was outrageous. The A-listers known for raising the temperature of the red carpet had started their day in a makeup seat instead of the breakfast table. Still don’t know what we’re talking about? It was the time for the Cannes film festival, the annual event took place at the Palais de Festivals and swept us off our feet. Celebrities from all around graced the carpet with their complementing makeup looks, from Cara Delevingne’s edgy eyeliner to Anne Hathaway’s bombshell hair, we were in awe while going through it all. This 9 day-event witnessed tons of breathtaking couture and flawless beauty looks. Before we discuss everything makeup, let’s just speak of apparel for a moment. One chosen brand by many during the 2022 Cannes has to be Mônot. From mermaid vibes two pieces to dazzling dresses, this hands down became a star brand of the 75th Cannes Film Festival. As for beauty, some went all out with bold eyes and massive hair while others kept it minimal yet wanted us to stare all day long. Although, we have missed many, as catering to the finest is tough, but shoutout to Kaia Gerber, Emily Ratajkowski, Katherine Langford, Elsa Hosk & others, you ladies killed it too. Alright, beauties coming up next, hold your breath to know all about their secrets and how they created the sensational looks we admired. Oh, & these are the ones we won’t be able to get over for years!
Bella Hadid
When the supermodel stepped out of the famous Hotel Martinez, she brought fire along, dropping out jaws with her attire and beautiful look. She wore an iconic Versace dress and paired the right jewels to make the point. Speaking of the look, she looked divine. Her collarbones and the body highlighter stunned us. Her hair was tied in a neat bun with just a few tendrils left out. The hair flip she did, dropped cameras. As for the face, it was illuminated like never before, the glow was so real and the skin looked healthy and juicy. Eyes popped out with heavy black liner both along the waterline and the upper lid. She went a nudish brown lipper to tone down the look. To achieve we’d recommend using impactful skincare products and face + body oils that give a fresh glow!

Nina Dobrev
She wore the chicest outfit from the brand that acknowledges cut-out gowns the most, Mônot. She has been obsessed with the brand for a while now and we are admiring the way she leaves us star stuck in appealing silhouettes like these. Coming onto the hair & makeup, she kept it elegant with a center partition, left loose straight hair, tucked back in ears. The makeup game was on fleek with a classic eyeliner, nicely shaped and properly filled eyebrows, thick long mascara-laden eyelashes, almost worn-out blush, and the best part “coral lips” that complemented the look! Rather than her makeup, the dress she wore stole the highlight, but the look was natural and gave red carpet vibes, therefore we included it in the best looks list!

Elle Fanning
Guess who looked like a complete barbie in a graceful baby pink Giorgio Armani gown? Elle Fanning honestly pulled off the look as nobody else would have. She made a glamourous entry to the 75th Cannes film festival, as she got the memo for the fashion event right. Speaking of her hair, she parted to the side with loose curls and pinned on the side a mini-crystal bow barrette hair clip, that framed her face phenomenally. Her makeup was kept pretty basic, with a classic and strong winged liner and dusky rose lips. However, you can create the same look using the products she did as we got our hands on what she used. For the glow, she opted for the Glow Amour Glow Boosting Drops in Golden Hour, the blush was from True Match Mineral Blush in Pinched Pink and lastly, the lipstick she used was Infallible Pro-Matte Liquid Lipstick in Pink Soiree. Go, create and ace the look!

Anne Hathaway
Next up is straight royalty. Hathaway makes sure to leave a little sparkle wherever she goes. This time at the Cannes film festival, she walked the red carpet like a true queen and owned this year’s festivities. The look that has us swept off our feet was the white sequined column gown, with which she paired her dazzling jewels. Speaking of the clean makeup look, Anne is often spotted with natural looks and it was no different this time, just the glow from underneath all the skincare really reflected out loud. She took inspiration from the early 60s and boy the hair framing her face with soft curls is everything you desire. As for makeup, rosy blush and coral lip used looked extravagant. Oh, and she didn’t forget to highlight the corner of her eyes with Sisley Paris Phyto-Ombre in Glow Pearl and Topaz. The other highlighter we spotted on her, Hourglass Ambient palette. Hurry, get your hands now to recreate her look cause “it’s a vibe.”
