A warm welcome to you Desiree! For those just determining who you are, talk us through your background.
My grandmother was an interior designer, and I have always seen her while growing up. As a little girl, I have always loved visiting her project sites, where she used to collaborate with other designers. Through her, I developed my love for interior design and pursued my career in the same field.
If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Realistic, Hardworking and Compassionate.
How you developed your love for interior decoration? Who was your inspiration behind it?
While switching multiple careers, interior decoration has always been there in the back of my mind. Back when I decided travelling as my passion, with a good memory of my childhood, I also started sharing my time in real estate and architecture which led me back to interior decorating.
The greatest glory in living life is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall. What were the turbulent times in your life and how you came through them?
When I was a nurse, I enjoyed helping others, but when I had medical complications that set me back from continuing, it redirected me to figure out a new passion. I can still help people just in a different way. Listening to people’s ideas and helping them navigate space in the right way to achieve their own personal vision of home is what I admire the most.
Talking of all the remarkable work you have done so far, which was the moment you felt most proud of yourself?
Believe it or not, I am obsessed with bathrooms, and I have built a mini version customed for children’s bathrooms, and everyone looked at me terribly as if I had lost my mind! Alas, it turned out to be a big hit! Looking at children being able to use the restroom more effortlessly by themselves was the moment when I felt most proud of myself.
When it comes to fashion, you have an undeniable sense of style and poise. Which are some of your favourite brands?
For me it all began with Tom Ford, he saw me as his muse besides being a client of his team. I also have so much fun with Versace! Donatella also reposted my story wearing a couture JLO-inspired gown. That was a huge help to me, and I also got invited to her fashion show which was indeed a star-stunned event.

What do you do when you get some time off from work?
I am a 24/7 mom who’s always there for her kids. Motherhood is my true passion, and I have always ensured to make my children a part of whatever I do. I always perform fashion shows at home to let them pick what they love.
What is your working inspiration?
Right now, I am deeply dived into restoration and taking inspiration from the past ideas of my grandparents has been my biggest working inspiration. I have been currently working on making buildings more modern without losing the antique touch.
What are you looking to achieve in the next couple of years, both professionally and personally?
I feel that I’ve achieved so much already, and I am grateful for everything I own. With the zest of looking forward to new adventures every day, and accomplishing some projects has always been my goal. Personally, my ultimate goal is to stay healthy and also keep my family fit.
Our readers were looking forward to having you on board. What is the message you would like to share with people who aspire to be like you?
Stick to the mantra – know what you want and go for it! I have always told everyone; nothing happens overnight, even if it looks that way. Always remind yourself to stay focused no matter what anyone says and work hard to achieve your goals.
