One moment, she’s dreaming up couture-inspired ‘70s glam with a modern twist, and the next, she’s crafting campaigns that make brands sit up and take notes.
A content creator, stylist, and trend translator, she doesn’t just wear fashion—she breathes it, curates it, and reinvents it. Whether she’s orchestrating jaw-dropping editorial shoots or redefining digital campaigns, Arpana’s approach is anything but ordinary. Her secret weapon? An innate ability to translate a brand’s essence into a visual masterpiece, ensuring that every campaign tells a compelling story. But make no mistake—behind the glamor and gorgeous ensembles is a relentless work ethic. After all, a true stylist knows that great fashion isn’t just worn; it’s engineered.

Hi Arpana, welcome to L’Officiel India. How do you perceive the evolution of fashion in the digital realm, and what role do influencers play in this transformation?
The biggest advantage with the evolution of the digital realm is “access”. Everyone, regardless of socio-economic status, budget, race, geographic location, or education, has access to the universe and ecosystem of fashion. Almost every major design house streams its fashion shows and collections and promotes its brand through social media. Influencers play a major role in this transformation with their voice and ability to create valuable content that is beneficial to brands in generating sales. What this does is accelerate the evolution by shortening the cycles of how fashion is communicated around the world.

Could you walk us through your process of conceptualizing and executing a fashion shoot or digital campaign?
The process I follow is not a cookie-cutter formula, and every campaign has its DNA. As exciting as it may sound to do a brand shoot/campaign, it’s painstakingly hard. It begins with the brand, what they are trying to communicate through a collection, and the product I showcase. From concept to styling to location to capturing the right content, it’s a process that feels rewarding only when everything comes together in reality. It’s more than just taking a product and some pictures or videos; styling and presentation are very important. I take a lot of pride in how I style pieces, and it definitely takes a unique skill set to achieve the desired results.

You wake up in the past—say, the 1920s or 70s—which era’s fashion are you rocking, and how would you put your modern spin on it?
This is such a difficult question for fashion enthusiast that appreciates all the genres but as a very late 70’s product I missed that era and think I would love to take the spirit of “being free” with “peace and love” and merge the colors of tie dye with the style of bell bottoms and all the wonderful fashion elements from that era. I would modernize it with voluminous sleeves, headpieces, statement belts, and platform heels/boots and create a mix of fusion that is jaw-droppingly good. Hell, I can even make it couture!

Fashion is often about storytelling—what’s the most memorable fashion story you’ve ever told through your work?
There are a few, but if I had to pick one, it’s this shoot that I did for L’OFFICIEL. This shoot is a full circle moment that represents the evolution of my journey as a content creator and stylist from when I started 8 years ago. Each look speaks volumes and shows the depth of my creativity and the confidence that brands place in me.
What’s one underrated fashion hack you swear by?
Fashion tape. Can’t tell you how handy this is – I’ve used it to secure pieces of garments, headpieces, belts, and shoe straps… Something I can’t do without.

You’re curating your dream dinner party—what three designers, stylists, or icons are on your guest list?
Daniel Roseberry, Diane Von Furstenberg, Rahul Mishra
What advice would you give to individuals aspiring to enter the world of fashion styling and content creation?
My advice is quite simple to understand and so difficult to implement, which is to lead with your heart, be fearless, create your path (there is no formula), and never give up. Put your soul into your dream and you will never lose. Not everyone will see it and recognize it, but you know it, and those who do will provide you with all the validation and success that you need.
What are your future goals in the fashion industry, and how do you plan to continue inspiring your audience?
It’s not so much the goal but more about the journey of expanding my reach as a creative and showing the world that I can make a difference by speaking the language of fashion in my unique way.
