Hi Emma! Welcome to L’Officiel India! Starting from where it all began, where did you get the passion for modelling?
Modelling has been the natural conclusion of a journey that started with my passion for fashion in general and it has developed in what I do and study now.
You are a model, influencer and fashion student too, who was your inspiration behind it?
I had a lot of different inspirations: Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn and many different classic icons of the past. If I would have to name a more recent inspiration, I would say the “eternal” Kate Moss.
It is often said that Difficult Roads Often Lead to Beautiful Destinations. What were the difficult roads you went through as a model?
I struggled with my body image for a very long time, especially during my teenage years. I have had eating disorders and I had to work so hard just to feel comfortable within myself. I would say this experience was so important for me because it made me the woman I am now and helped me to do what I have always wanted to do. Other than that, I had some basic difficulties, like envy and the judgments of insensitive people to face which was a bit tough for me to handle.
Take the criticism as a fuel to improve, and whenever you feel you can’t do it, well, push away your fears and try even harder.
What is the one rule you have lived your life by? What effect has it had on your life and on your achievements?
The one rule I live by is to stay true to yourself.
It has affected my life in many different ways. I said a lot of NOs to respect this rule but also, I have always been proud of the person I see in the mirror every day in the morning.
What is the one achievement you feel the proudest of? And why is it so near to your heart?
I feel like my biggest achievement is yet to come. Right now, I have so many different goals to reach and I feel so blessed. I keep near to my heart every single step I have made that has permitted me to be where I am now.
What’s one thing many people don’t know about you?
That’s an interesting question… Probably many people don’t know how loyal and how “old school” my values are. Many times, I don’t feel I belong to this era…

Talking about that glow on your face, how do you manage to keep that beautiful skin glowing and alive?
My skincare secrets are: Wear sunscreen, drink a lot of water and never go to sleep with make-up, also I am a huge fan of plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery so for sure there are some treatments I do that help keep my skin young and healthy.
Your fashion skills are flawless. How would you describe your personal style?
I would define my style as classic and timeless.
My look is always classical and focused on the details. I love to wear a classic black dress with a pair of décolleté completed with a timeless Chanel bag. In the evening I keep it elegant, a dress enriched with some jewels and accessories.
What words of advice do you have for people who aspire to flourish in the field of modelling?
The best advice I can give is to always be yourself. Never give up on your goals and never let other people put you down. Take the criticism as a fuel to improve, and whenever you feel you can’t do it, well, push away your fears and try even harder. If you work hard and believe you are halfway there.
