Ingredient:
1½ cup frozen pineapple
1½ cup ice
5 ounces of Aged rum
2 ounces of cream of coconut
4 ounces of pineapple juice
1 ounce of lime juice
For Garnishing:
2 slices of pineapple
2 Cherries
Drink umbrellas
Preparation:
Put pineapple and ice in a blender and blend them until they are chunky.
Add rum, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, and lime juice to the chunky mixture of pineapple and ice. Blend them together until they are smooth.
Pour them in the signature Pina Colada glasses and garnish the glasses with pineapple, cherry, and drink umbrellas. Serve this drink chilled to your guests.
Tips:
Don’t get confused between cream of coconut and coconut cream. Cream of coconut is used for sweetening drinks while the other, coconut cream is unsweetened. If you added coconut cream then you can rectify your mistake by adding simple syrup according to your taste.
White Rum can be used instead of Aged rum as it gives classic rum burn when added to the drink.
This drink comes in variations and can be made for any age group. These variations of Pina Colada can be made for children or pregnant ladies.
