Delve into Serenity
Unwind and transcend into relaxation away from the commotion of the city life in Pushkar

Positioned strategically amidst the majestic Aravalis, the uber-luxurious The Westin Pushkar Resort & Spa is situated in the sacred city of Pushkar. This huge resort spreads across 15 acres of land and the architecture is a perfect blend of luxury and historical significance with a charming view of the hills. As the resort is away from the hustle-bustle of the city, it is a surreal escape from the daily commotion for a relaxed and peaceful retreat. Though it still retains the essence of the culture and history of Pushkar city. Due to its close proximity from Jaipur, it is quite convenient to reach the place as it is located at a driving distance of about 3 to 4 hours.

On arrival, we had a traditional Rajasthani welcome initiated by “Kachi Ghori” dance and Rajasthani music. Also, tikka on the forehead is customary along with a sprinkling of the rose petal by individuals dressed in ethnic attire. The rooms were well equipped with modern amenities and were quite spacious. Our villa had a garden view with an indoor plunge pool making it one of the highlights of our trip. Also, their signature Heavenly Bed assured a good night’s sleep as the feather-like duvet bedspread were super comfortable.

In the evening there was a puppet show which is an inherent part of the Rajasthani culture being performed for the guests along with live singing. To make us feel even more welcomed we were served complimentary evening tea with some snacks.

On the first day, the staff arranged a floating breakfast in our indoor pool which served as a unique experience. We then visited the Brahma Temple, Pushkar Lake and the local market to purchase some traditional handicraft products. In the evening we enjoyed a camel safari in the sand dunes. For dinner we tried their most famous restaurant ‘Panorama’ and as the name suggests provides a scenic view of the Aravalis. This restaurant is an alfresco grill and barbeque which promises lip-smacking food each time. We were highly impressed with their wide range of classic cocktails and delicious grills and barbeques which were made live by expert chefs.

The next day we went to the restaurant where the breakfast spread was enormous with a variety of options to select from including continental, Indian, pan Asian and the traditional Rajasthani recipes. We even participated in the rose plucking session at the farm followed by a dessert-making session. This was the only area which needed improvement as there were not enough roses in the garden to pluck. With the soaring temperature in the afternoon, we decided to take a quick dip in the pool to refresh ourselves. We even played volleyball in the huge outdoor pool and when we got tired we ate some delicious finger food and drinks at Splash, The Westin Pushkar’s signature poolside bar.

On our final day in the resort, we took part in the Wellness Escape activities which focus on exercise classes, meditation, yoga, nutrition and more. There was also an option for an early morning cycling session. The most amazing experience had to be in their renowned spa, Heavenly Spa at The Westin Pushkar Resort offering personalised therapy packages which house an extensive selection of treatment rooms and a spa which has both local and international treatment. We took a heavenly Thai massage with aromatic oils to calm our senses and rejuvenate the body.

The Westin Pushkar Resort & Spa became one of the most memorable part of our visit to Pushkar as we were charmed by the hospitability of the staff, variety of activities, mouth-watering cuisines and a luxurious spa experience. This resort is one of the best ways to enjoy Pushkar surrounded by the Aravalli hills.
