Tea-Totaller
Da Hong Pao, one of the world’s most expensive teas, is worth 30 times its weight in gold.

Da Hong Pao is worth 30 times its weight in gold. What could be so special about these unsuspecting leaves of tea? To start with, it is a rare variant. Second, it is said that the leaves are washed with goat’s milk as they are growing and when they are being baked. It is then left for 80 years to gain its flavour. So, $10,000 for a pot of tea may sound tad extreme, but true tea connoisseurs will pay for a sip of the world’s most expensive and rarest tea. So, if you also want to put a tick on your (now updated) bucket list, Royal China Club in central London serves Product: Da Hong Pao Tea | Price: $1 million per kilogram it for about $250 for a pot of four small cups. Saucer up.
