A Little Bubbly, A Little Lemony

By now, we all know how much Italians adore their booze and, of course, their lemons! This month, we're diving into a beloved Italian favorite: the Sgroppino, a cocktail that hails from the romantic city of Venice. Originating in the 16th century, this zesty drink was originally crafted as a palate cleanser, or intermezzo, to refresh your taste buds between meal courses.

Fast forward to today, and the world of craft cocktails is buzzing with fresh twists on classic favorites, especially for the summer season! The Sgroppino's traditional tart lemon sorbet perfectly balances with the slight sweetness and bubbles of Prosecco, all supported by a smooth splash of vodka. But here's our exciting twist: we've added Limoncello to our recipe! This not only amps up the lemony goodness but also brings an extra layer of sweetness. Or tell you what, if lemon is not your thing, you can make this cocktail with other fruit sorbets such as strawberry, raspberry, and more.
