A garden of jewels
Spring is here and there’s a new collection that is about to ‘bloom’ in the jewellery market this season as it aesthetically captures the beauty of nature

Spring is about to knock on our doors with pale leaves again turning green, lush green grass dangling in cool breezy environs and sun casting a sparkling reflection on freshwaters like molten gold. This enchanting spirit has been encapsulated in Sanjay Kasliwal’s latest collection ‘Bloom’ launched this month. The collection is an open invitation to see the traditional and iconic Jaipur iconography mixed with exuberant colours and intricate details that capture the wild nature of Rajasthan. The ebullient collection has a wide array of vividly sparkling stones that range from Rubellite, gushing Tahitian Pearls, to Mozambican Rubies, elegant Diamonds, shining Sri Lankan Sapphires and Zambian Emerald. The plating of most of the ornaments is in gold rose, plain gold and silver. One can find Bracelets, sets, earrings and rings in the collection. The spirit of the collection is like one is walking into an exotic garden and coming across whimsical elements embellished in vibrant gemstones. Those who have an eye for art will like to appreciate the collection’s synthesis of the Art Deco period that blended European Aesthetic with traditional Indian jewels. Symbolically, the collection is emblematic of harmony of shapes enthused with rich colours as if one is seeing flora blooming in its full allure during the spring season.
This concoction of high-end jewels, colours and impressions of flora and fauna make this collection a suitable affair this season when nature mesmerises us with its beauty. Some of the statement jewellery pieces include Rubellites and Diamonds ring set, Emerald Rubies and Diamond set in White Gold, Diamonds and Garnet rings, Tanzanite, Rubies and Diamond set and Yellow Sapphires and Diamond Earrings that manifest a fully blooming flower.

Those who have an eye for detail can see how the magic of flora and fauna have been crafted in the jewellery. From 'Naga Rings' bending like a slithering snake to 'Juhi Ring' depicting water drops in the form of briolette diamonds delicately falling from the shank to the 'Udaya Set' in violet-blue tanzanite and emeralds resembling Jaipur’s majestic peacock, many jewellery pieces have personified the nature and life forms it nurtures. The collection mixes elements of contemporary design with age-old and traditional craftsmanship to create these pieces. They’re modern and suitable for occasional wear when one would like to ditch the Haute sets and heavy jewellery.
The collection is an open invitation to see the traditional and iconic Jaipur iconography mixed with exuberant colours and intricate details that capture the wild nature of Rajasthan.
