"An antique is everything old with class." The first month of a new year, and here we are bringing you yet another collector's item. This time around we have a vase from the 18th century that looks exceptional, and the story behind it makes it more appealing. Imagine suddenly finding an old antique vase while cleaning the house. Well, that's exactly how this antique was discovered. Tucked away unnoticed, a woman found it while clearing out her late sister’s modest suburban London home. And look what it turned out to be.

It's a Chinese vase which is known as the Pinner Qing Dynasty Vase featuring a gold banding and a fish motif. Another exciting area is, it marks the imperial seal which is believed to have originated from the imperial kilns of the Qing dynasty. This particular vase is regarded to be made for the personal collection of the Chinese emperor Qianlong who ruled between 1736 and 1795.

From the time it was made to date this vase is appreciated for its beauty and purity. To give you a brief about when this precious vase was made, it all started between 1644 and 1911 when the Qing Dynasty succeeded the Ming Dynasty. It was peaceful thereafter for a certain time, and that's how art was reflected. This 16-inch vase has a narrow neck, four enameled circular motifs known as cartouches, and is painted with sky blue and imperial yellow and also features medallions depicting leaping goldfish.

What still remains a history is how the vase was found in Pinner, London, England which was earlier preserved in China. The sister who found the vase had been with the family at least since the 1930s, and never did they know how it was acquired. In 2010, the vase was sold in an auction for about $80.2 million which also made it the world's most expensive vase. Some even say that there were about a total of 18 vases but this one could only survive. Its condition, rarity, and value increased with its considerable age have made it a unique and most expensive antique in the world.
