We tend to do a lot of shampoo in summer. It happens due to the increased amount of grease and sweat produced in the scalp. While buying your shampoo, go through the ingredients mentioned on the shampoo bottle you choose. Refrain from using chemical-laden shampoos, instead, choose a light shampoo that is sulphate-free. This will keep your natural moisture intact and your scalp, free of sweat.

2. Use Good Quality Mask or Conditioner

It is very important to use a conditioner during summers. Our hair, like our skin, need hydration and moisture. As we said earlier, washing your hair frequently leaves them malnourished and brittle. Therefore, it is very important for you to apply a good quality mask on your hair after every wash. They help balance moisture in your scalp. You can also use leave-in conditioners. 3. Desist From Sun And Heat Exposure 

While heading out make sure you carry an umbrella, scarf or a cap to save your hair from harmful UV rays and harsh sunlight. Also, avoid using blow dryer and hair straighteners in the summer season. Let them dry naturally. Wipe them with soft cotton or linen clothe after wash. Keep yourself hydrated all the time, especially when you go out.

4. Oil Massage is A Must

Many people think that they do not need oil massage during the summers because the scalp already produces ample amount of oil. Well! That’s a myth. In fact, you must give a gentle massage to your scalp at least twice a week in summers. The best time to do so is night. Apply the oil gently in your hair and on your scalp and give a nice massage treat to them. This process also helps reduce stress. Leave the oil in the hair overnight and wash them the next day. Again, go slow on hair dryers and other styling tools. There are many hair oils available in the market. You can choose from one of them according to your hair and scalp type. 5. Swim Carefully
It needs no brainer to understand how harmful is the chlorine present in the seawater as well as in the pools. Also, the salt present in the seawater strips off all the natural oils, leaving them hard and dry.
