interview

It was in the month of February this year, that international fashion photographer Manny Roman had decided to unveil his first photographic exhibit “ESSENCE OF A WOMAN,” but due to the uprise of the COVID-19 pandemic, things soon went haywire.

I have always wanted to showcase the women who inspired me and pay homage to the feminine spirit around the world.

“This exhibit holds a special place in my heart. I have always wanted to showcase the women who inspired me and pay homage to the feminine spirit around the world. Women have always been my inspiration, from the classic beauty of Lauren Bacall to the sultry appeal of  Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Loren,” says Manny.

Women have always been my inspiration

He further adds, “I’ve always admired the way women move, laugh, and flip their hair. I remember when as a child, I used to watch my aunt Leider get adorned and dressed, and was often awed by every move she made; she would catch me watching her and responded with a wink and smile. I have so many wonderful memories with so many honourable women.”

The five-page digital editorial is featured on the women who have all supported Manny throughout his journey as a photographer and have stood by him as supportive pillars all through.  Gabriela Isler, Brittani Kline, Desire Cordero, and Angela Ruiz are his soul sisters. They and many more that Manny is blessed to call sisters in this industry, act as his muses in many ways.

We need to remember to respect the women in our lives and of the world. Our origin is of a woman and we must never forget it.

Manny lets us in on a sneak -peek of what is to come in his first exhibit once the world regains normalcy, and we are able to attend lavish gatherings like the good old days. “We need to remember to respect the women in our lives and of the world. Our origin is of a woman and we must never forget it…” concludes Manny.
