Being the holy grail in the world of cinephiles, Golden Globe Awards tells us every year that where the entertainment industry is. This year too, 79th Golden Globe Awards took place recently. Due to the restrictions regarding Covid-19 being imposed by authorities, we could not experience a live, on-stage version of it but they tried their best to give us something to cherish.

Golden globe awards have been started by the members of Hollywood Foreign Press Association in 1944.

Let’s take a look at what your 2022 Golden Globe Award winners actually go for when it comes to choosing the right look for them!

Michaela Jaé Rodriguez

From performing in Rent to winning the Award for “Best Performance By An Actress in a Television Series” for her performance in the popular Netflix hit “Pose” on the 79th Golden Globe Awards, MJ has travelled a road which need dedication, hard-work, and a lot of patience.

Talking about the look, she is wearing a matte base with chiselled cheeks. The advantage of matte finish over the regular ones is that it does not leave the skin heavy and over-textured. It keeps the look classy while acting as a rigid base.

Her eyes also look flawless with those perfectly chosen faux lashes with a bit of Smokey-glitter green finish, which is not only glorifying the overall look but also is matching with her attire. Choosing something sober, MJ went with nude lips that are indeed balancing out the look. Overall, with the minimal highlighter and neatly combed straight hair, she looked utterly gorgeous.

Sarah Snook

Winning the title for “Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role on Television” for her performance in an HBO Original “Succession” on the 79th Golden Globe Awards, Sarah Snook is an Australian Actress also known for her diverse performance in pictures like Not Suitable for Children and Sisters of War.

La La Land broke all the records in 2017 of taking the most Golden Globe Awards home with around 7 of them.

Talking about her look, she went with a dewy base this time. Dewy bases are for someone who want to glow and is quite a good option for someone with a dry skin. Alongside the dewy base, pink blush adorned her cheeks and made her smile darlinger.

The eyes are something where not much products are used as they are kept neutral. Lips on the other hand stands out the most with that red lipper making everything seem better. Overall, this look made her stand out of the rest.

Rachel Zegler

As Multi-Talented as she is, she also won the award for “Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture” for her role in the previous year’s superhit “West Side Story” on the 79th Golden Globe Awards.

Talking about her look, it was quite natural and minimal looking. With minimal base applied, it felt like as if nothing was there. Alongside minimal base, she looked quite blemishing in her brushed eyebrows and the brown Smokey eyes.

The peach blush is also quite minimally visible which does not make it dominant at all. Same goes for the pinkish nude shade chosen for the lips. Overall, we think that as beautiful as she looks, her make up could have been better. The fine lines and lip shades could have been more dominant in nature and the look would have been much better.

Ariana Debose

Winning the award for “Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in Any Motion Picture” for the 2021’s superhit “West Side Story” on the 79th Golden Globe Awards. Making her debut on an American reality television show “So You Think You Can Dance”, Ariana has not seen back since then.

A singer, dancer, and actress, Ariana Debose is nothing less than a multi-talented human being. Talking about how she looked, she went for a dewy base foundation. A dewy base is something you apply mostly when you have a dry skin. It not only makes your face feel heavy but also moisturises it, leaving your face glowing all along.

With no blush and no highlighter used, her face looks quite minimal. Whatever the case may be, she did her make-up keeping her skin tone in mind, which is quite nicely blending all in. The eyebrows used are also well-shaped, giving her eyes a look that they deserve. Glossy nude lips compliment the nude eye makeup that goes along the eyes with liner too playing its part.

Talking about her hair, she went on with soft curls. The light ash brown highlighting used on the hair makes it glow out of the rest. Overall, Ariana as beautiful as her character in the West Side story.
