Pearl Crush
Nath often finds herself going back to Hazoorilal, impressed with the delicate craftsmanship, beautifully cut stones and quality of diamonds used.

A working girl who prefers unpretentious pearls for the day, Chandni Nath lets her hair down with her favourite brand Chanel and its lush offerings.
With a girl-next-door charm, Chandni Nath Israni, director of Logix Group, is happy designing spaces. And despite being born to a father who owns a real estate company worth ₹1,500 crore, the talented interior designer did not believe in taking it easy. Ten years ago she joined the company full time and that’s when her fashion choices changed—from a girl who only wore dresses to a lady who can’t get enough of subtle elegance. Nath says, “My father taught us the value of working hard, we never had anything easy. That makes me a working girl who has to earn her bread and butter, but I must admit, fashion is a big part of my life.” When you are heading a big brand, you can’t dress inappropriately—that’s why Nath learnt to wear only one bold piece and keep the rest simple. She loves neckpieces and that’s what she invests in—like her Chanel pearl necklace from Paris. “I chose it as it has a rainbow of colours from lilac to pinks and ivory whites,” she tells us. “But my favourite remains a gold hanging chain, tiered necklace with a brooch on one side, which reminds me how effortlessly Coco Chanel understood what women truly desire. And Karl Lagerfeld has carried forward her awe-inspiring legacy. He has managed to get the soul right.” Last year, she indulged in another chunky Chanel neckpiece that had coins and pearls intermingled.

Nath likes to keep it minimal during the day, so it’s just a string of pearls and solitaires from Hazoorilal Jewellers. In the evening though, she often wears her LV neckpiece in rose gold with a sprinkling of Swarovski and coloured stones. “It is chic and adds a dash of colour to your LBD,” she smiles.
Nath often finds herself going back to Hazoorilal, impressed with the delicate craftsmanship, beautifully cut stones and quality of diamonds used. She got a magnificent emerald ring and a neckpiece to go along with it this year. You’ll not catch her without the diamond bracelet her dad got her for her 18th birthday or her engagement ring. But when she is roughing it out at sites, she always falls back on good old silver jewellery. “In these situations, it is the silver jewellery that my mom has gifted me—it could be Amrapali or just something we picked up from Jaipur,” she reveals. “Structured rings or architecture-inspired necklaces rev up my mood.” Now that’s what studying design does to you!
