Beauty Confidential: Royal Touch

It’s not always about the right foundation or an expensive sunblock. Princess Mriganka Singh of the royal family of Jammu & Kashmir reveals her beauty regime and how she keeps her skin hydrated with rose water. As for her being beautiful inside, reflects in her personality.

What is your definition of beauty?

Beauty is more about being comfortable, with who you are. I believe in being natural and not depending on too many products. It’s also about confidence which finally makes you the person you are.

What is the secret to your beautiful skin?

You won’t believe that it is as simple as rose water. I play polo and ride horses, so most of the time, I am out in the sun and I have never felt that it will affect my skin.

Which are the steps you follow as a part of your skincare regime?

I make sure I use rose water every morning and evening and I never leave home without my moisturiser. I believe in keeping the skin hydrated.

Do you believe in natural home remedies? If so, can you share any beauty recipes with us?

I believe in working out regularly; it keeps me fit and active. Also, I love having coconut water. It is the best beauty treatment!

Things you want to steal from your mother’s beauty cabinet...

My mother and I share our beauty products, and I love using her eyeshadows.

I have just one that is my M.A.C Mocha lipstick. It suits all occasions and it also keeps my lips moisturised all day long.

A fragrance you swear by...

Femme by Hugo Boss for the day and Armani Code for the evening as it makes me feel instantly fresh.

What is your greatest beauty indulgence ?

A long hot, bubble bath. It relaxes me.

One product that makes you feel instantly beautiful?

Mascara, I love my mascara. I think it just lifts the face, and makes the eyes look attractive.

What is your go-to party look?

Depends on the party, but my hair gel and spray is constant. I can’t do without them.
