Famed for craftsmanship, precision and minute attention to detail, the accessory maestros at Alexander McQueen have given us something to covet. Described by McQueen as a ‘timeless piece of luxury’, the Heroine tote has a teardrop profile and short, tote-style handles. It is its modern structure that has catapulted it to an iconic status. Smart and elegantly designed, this carryall is a perfect add-on to sleek work wear or for a lunch-date look…think pencil skirts and pointed pumps. The Spring/Summer 2014 pieces for the Heroine bag family include the mini Heroine bag, the satchel and the mini satchel. The collection is inspired from the progressive art movements of the early 20th century.
Inspiration
The Heroine tote was inspired by strong, independent and powerful women. It emerged from Sarah Burton’s vision to offer the Alexander McQueen woman a day bag that represented the ethos of the brand: Power, structure and luxury. It is a modern classic, reinterpreted with an Alexander McQueen twist.
Savoir-faire
The bag is empowering yet feminine. It maintains a carefully crafted and functional construction, comprising an intricate yet intuitive opening to the expandable structure, with the clever use of two lateral vertical zips. It also features a multitude of luxurious detailing such as the suede lining and the hand stitching. The expert craftsmanship and technical accomplishments of the Heroine bag are unrivalled, making this a timeless luxury piece.
The Heroine tote is available in a range of leathers such as bonded calf, sponge calf, grainy leather, leather with studs, crocodile skin, all of which are finished with a tonal suede lining.
