A Season of Liberated Elegance
The season embraces liberated glamour and sophisticated duality, as Chanel debuts a fluid, cosmic vision, Véronique Leroy masters corporate fantasy, and Meryll Rogge champions expressive, high-low artistry.

Move over rigid house codes, it’s time for creative duality to shine! This season, Paris championed the multifaceted woman. Blazy’s cosmic Chanel delivered a softer, fluid take on tradition. Leroy cleverly disrupted the 9-to-5 with rebellious, tailored chic. Meanwhile, Rogge celebrated life’s chapters through an eclectic, high-low narrative, solidifying fashion’s new era of confident freedom.
Chanel
Matthieu Blazy’s Spring 2026 debut for Chanel, set against a cosmic backdrop of planets at the Grand Palais, signaled a dramatic new era. Blazy masterfully retained house codes while embracing freedom and fluidity. He reimagined Chanel’s signature tweed and jersey into soft, drapey silhouettes, contrasting with masculine tailoring, like Boy Capel-inspired pantsuits. Asymmetrical cuts and unbuttoned elements injected a contemporary ease. The finale, a jersey T-shirt with a massive feathered skirt, captured his vision: an elegant yet audacious blend of house tradition and modernist artistry, ensuring Chanel’s enduring cultural resonance.

Véronique Leroy
Véronique Leroy’s Spring 2026 collection, ‘Crazy Secretary,’ is a thrilling collision of corporate polish and irreverent fantasy. Set against the backdrop of a sterile Belgian television office, the collection champions the muse who is “fun and daring,” using fashion to seize the office spotlight. Leroy’s design genius manifests in the clash: structured coats with exaggerated shoulders are thrown over swimwear; business-sharp suits are playfully disrupted by unexpected textures like velvet and towelling.
The palette, inspired by recycled plastic art, offered sophisticated, grainy hues of blue and pink. This collection is the definitive guide to dressing eccentrically, but chicly, transforming the mundane 9-to-5 into a runway.

Meryll Rogge
The Meryll Rogge Spring 2026 collection, “A Dab Hand on Show,” was a jubilant display of creative liberty, inspired by the “carefree attitudes” found in the autobiography of actress Cookie Mueller. Rogge used the collection to create a “free space for self-expression,” celebrating a wardrobe that accumulates over a colorful life. This materialized in a high-low aesthetic: preppy knit vests and featherlight worsted wool coats were juxtaposed with a “punk moment” of shorts cut from slacks and midriff-baring tops made from knotted band merch. This eclectic mix, which even included a pseudo-wedding dress representing a “phase,” highlighted Rogge’s masterful construction of garments and narratives.
