The campaign images also include holiday-inspired elements like winter foliage and large ice cubes. It also showcases Prada’s expanded universe including leather goods, handbags, and fun accessories like ping pong paddles. THE MACALLAN HONORS THE MACALLAN 77 YEARS OLD WITH FILM FROM JAVI AZNAREZ
The latest addition to The Red Collection, the Macallan 77 Years Old has made its arrival. Slowly matured over 7 decades under the watchful eyes of generations of whisky makers, the addition seems to be really special. For the unaware, the Red Collection from The Macallan is an exquisite range of distinguished and rare single-malt whiskies. Each expression from the collection is a reflection of the pursuit of uncompromised excellence which has been the driving force behind The Macallan since around 1824. The 77 Years Old is the first high-aged guest of the collection since the range was first introduced. The distinctive red colour reflects the key flavour notes of dried fruits, sweet woodsmoke, and the traditional flavours of Cherry Bakewell and is inspired by the significance of red throughout The Macallan’s history. And to celebrate the launch of this exquisite whisky, a new animated film and collection of illustrations were created in collaboration with Javi Aznarez. A renowned Spanish painter and artist, Aznarez has depicted The Macallan Red Collection transcending from the past to the present, ultimately leading to its culmination in a moment of celebration at The Macallan Bar in the heart of The Macallan Distillery in Scotland.
FENDI CELEBRATES 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BAGUETTE BAG
And just like that, Fendi’s 25th Anniversary Baguette bags are here! Fendi launched a winter capsule collection that comprised its 25th-anniversary Baguette bags with releases from its archives as well. The capsule was showcased via a pop-up on 90 Prince Street in New York’s SoHo neighbourhood and will remain open till December 23. So, you have ample chance to shop the micro and mini versions of the coveted Re-Edition Baguettes. The Fendi Baguette marked an appearance on Sex and the City, one of the most popular shows of the 90s, that catapulted the bag into It Bag territory, thus turning it into one of history’s most iconic handbags. In September, Fendi debuted new renditions of the classic Baguette during a celebratory runway show at the NYFW and those limited-edition styles are finally up for purchase at the pop-up. But, the 25th-anniversary collaborations with Marc Jacobs, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Tiffany & Co will launch much later – Parker’s in December and the other two by January 2023.
LOUIS VUITTON’S SECOND COLLABORATION WITH ART ICON YAYOI KUSAMA
A decade after first making history together, Louis Vuitton and art icon Yayoi Kusama have once again joined hands. Marking the French luxury fashion house’s second collaboration with the acclaimed Japanese contemporary artist, the collaboration is set to be released in January 2023. As part of the collaboration, Louis Vuitton took over parts of Tokyo featuring Kusama and her works using a mix of augmented reality experiences as well as physical installations. While the exact items from the collaboration have not been revealed yet, the fashion house did reveal the signature handbags and accessories featuring the 93-year-old Japanese icon’s distinctive hand-painted polka dots. The installations have been places at the Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Station, Zojoji Temple, Shiba Park and the Shinjuku district. You can even virtually try on some items like the Louis Vuitton X Yayoi Kusama sunglasses. So, if you wish to experience this phenomenon for yourself, you know where to go!
ALEXANDER MCQUEEN’S FUTURISM INSPIRED CAMPAIGN
Alexander McQueen has launched its latest campaign for The Slash Bag. The campaign stars Kaia Gerber, and transports the viewer to a futuristic setting. It is a sci-fi short film directed by Glen Luchford and the model shows off her acting skills in it. Talking about the bag, leather has been used in the bag’s construction and it features cut-out accents that are pretty reminiscent of clothing silhouettes. The shoulder strap is made of antique silver and is adorned with rings that are encrusted with Swarovski crystals. In the film, the model is seen entering a room, carrying The Slash Bag in the Welsh Red shade. She discovers a floating head that seems to look uncannily like her and the clip then concludes with a tense scene that later fades to black.
