Welcome to L’Officiel! If you were to describe your entrepreneurial journey in three words, what would it be and why?
Determination, Love, Creativity.
Determination has been the driving force behind overcoming challenges and pursuing my goals. Love fuels my passion for what I do and drives me to create meaningful experiences for others. Creativity allows me to think outside the box, innovate, and bring fresh ideas to life.
Collaborating with renowned jewellers must be incredibly exciting. Can you share a memorable experience or project that stands out to you from your work in the jewelry and collectible industry?
One memorable project that stands out to me is the collaboration with renowned brands to create exclusive pieces. Some of the most memorable collaborations were the Hello Kitty diamond watches, Mickey Mouse crystal figures and Mickey pocket watches. These projects combined iconic characters with luxurious craftsmanship, resulting in unique pieces that brought joy to collectors and fans alike.
If you were to design a whimsical collection inspired by a fairy tale, which tale would it be, and what pieces would be must-haves for every modern-day princess or prince?
It would be ‘Cinderella’. The collection would revolve around French Chandelier, Snow, and Blossoms. The must-have pieces for every modern-day princess or prince would include exquisite chandelier-inspired earrings, delicate snowflake-shaped timepieces, and tiaras involving blossoms adorned with sparkling crystals.
Being a celebrity model and designer, you’re constantly exposed to trends. What’s one trend in the jewelry industry that you’re particularly excited about right now?
I’m particularly excited about the asymmetrical earrings. This trend allows for a playful and unique expression of personal style. By wearing different designs on each ear, individuals can showcase their creativity and make a bold fashion statement. Asymmetrical earrings add a touch of modernity and individuality to any outfit, making them a must-have accessory for those who want to stay on-trend.
If you were to curate an art exhibition showcasing your favorite works, what would be the theme of the exhibition, and which artists would you feature?
The theme of the exhibition would be “Garden of Eden.” This exhibition would explore the beauty of nature, the interplay between humans and the environment, and the concept of paradise.
Co-founding the JC Happiness Foundation and the International Mental Health of Hong Kong demonstrates your commitment to philanthropy. What motivated you to get involved in mental health initiatives, and what impact do you hope to achieve through your work in this area?
I believe the greatest impact comes from within our inner world. Relying solely on external happiness may not bring true joy and happiness. That’s why through my charity foundation, I aim to raise awareness about the importance of introspection. We also offer various services to assist in mental well-being, ultimately leading to a happier.
If you were stranded on a deserted island and could only bring three items from your wardrobe, what would they be?
From my wardrobe, I would bring a sports bra for comfort and practicality. I would also bring the Heart Sutra and the Bible for spiritual guidance and solace.
Dr. Wo, if you were to write a memoir about your life and career, what would be the title, and what chapter would readers find most surprising or intriguing?
The title of my memoir would be “From Model to Philanthropy: A Journey of Happiness.” The chapter that readers would find most surprising and intriguing would be “Love Thyself.” In this chapter, I would delve into my personal struggles with self-acceptance and the transformative journey of learning to love and embrace oneself fully.
Lastly, if you could sum up your brand or ethos in just a few words, what would they be, and why?
Chic and elegant, breaking the traditional style, affordable and glamorous!
I strive to create designs that are chic and elegant, offering a fresh perspective that breaks away from traditional styles. Additionally, I believe that luxury and glamour should be accessible to everyone. Therefore, I aim to provide affordable options without compromising on quality.
