Awards season may soon be ending, but Hollywood had lots of stylish looks in store for the 2024 since the beginning. We are just three months into this year, and the carpet saw many familiar faces from film and television’s biggest hits this past year, like Barbie and Oppenheimer, which both led the film categories.
In a rare red-carpet calendar clash, 2024’s red carpet flanked by the public — stars often opt for bold, attention-grabbing looks. But that didn’t stop those in attendance from turning out in style. And while proceedings we saw some tasteful but relativity pared- back fashion (British royalty was in attendance, after all), and exaggerated silhouettes and fun accessories. Here are 5 of the evening’s most talked-about looks.
1. LENNY KRAVITZ AT GRAMMY’S
Lenny Kravitz who is an American singer- songwriter and multi-instrumentalist attended the Grammy’s and styled his look in such a way that he was looking so unique in it and everyone’s eyes were on him. By putting his body on display during his appearance at the Grammys. He made viewers swoon as he wore an all-black sheer top by Rick Owens that bared his muscular physique. The 59-year-old entertainer, styled it with a leather bolero and custom black jeans from Chrome Hearts. While flexing his six pack abs, he gave fans a sneak peek at what they can expect from his upcoming album. The four-time Grammy winner and actor, teased his 12th studio album, Blue Electric Light; while rocking an all-black look with the utmost flair and chic. While, finishing off his edgy look with Chrome Hearts jewellery and vintage Dior glasses.
2. RYAN GOSLING AT 96TH OSCARS NOMINEES LUNCHEON – ARRIVALS
Ryan Gosling who was nominated for playing Ken in Barbie – known for his classic and stylish red carpet looks. He often opts for tailored suits in neutral colours like black, navy, or charcoal grey. But at the 96th Academy Awards Oscar nominees’ luncheon at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California; where dress code being daytime casual, and for Gosling that meant a lilac suit with matching shirt! While rocking a custom Gucci three-piece lilac suit, he completed it with the Tag Heuer gold watch – who is the only person on earth with this gold watch. Well, well, well, if this is what Tag Heuer is willing to do for a pre-Oscars luncheon, what an auspicious sign for the main event! Though his custom piece too is definitely the type of stunt we are in all praises with.
3. PAUL MESCAL AT BAFTAS FILM AWARDS
Unlike at other more showy-off-y awards carpet this year, shirts were very much in effect. Although note the blending of tie and shirt – fellow Irish thirst-trap. We don’t expect anything less than immaculate vibes from Paul Mescal at this point. And he didn’t let us down with not just natty stitching but also the stellar element – Cartier Tank Normale included- chic. Paul Mescal’s stylish sophistication in the Best Supporting Actor category for All of Us Strangers, who demonstrated refined sophistication in a Fall Winter 2024 black wool suit by Gucci, and oh boy the style game was off the charts.
4. DARREN BARNET AT PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS
Darren Barnet arrived at the 49th Annual People’s Choice Awards 2024 held at The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, California, United States. Boasting his M.O. as “if you’re going to wear black on black, at least one piece should stand out.” For the actor, that was his embellished Dolce & Gabbana sleeveless turtleneck, while Christian Louboutin Zagober boots, sporting an Omega watch and David Yurman jewellery completed his look. Making himself look like he’s ready to head off to a disco bar after the ceremony. Stealing the spotlight, which was not very short-lived as he was dressed in futuristic rocker mode.
5. CHRIS PERFETTI AT SAG AWARDS
Chris Perfetti had set his feet with full swing at the 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, California. The “Abbott Elementary” actor wore Jimmy Choo shoes and a brown suit from Los Angeles-based label Grayscale. The suit jacket is cropped to just above the waist, highlighting his oversized bowtie and black cummerbund, with the pearl floral lapel brooch adding a sweet touch. Perfetti gave us major corsage envy with an Anabela Chan Gold Cherry Corsage brooch. Sprinkled with lab diamonds and freshwater pearl petals, it was the pièce de résistance on the Abbott Elementary star’s Grayscale suit. Well, who needs flowers when you can bloom with bling?
