Suiting Up For A Special Occasion? Remember To Pick An Exceptional Wristwatch To Accentuate Your Wrist.
Latest gadgets and automobiles don’t always represent class and sophistication. The opulent aura of copious timepieces is
something that attracts every eye when you enter a room. Witness an array of remarkable timepieces being introduced, showcasing the mastery of horology. This month in this section, we will explore some of the latest luxury watches that have made their presence, delighting watch aficionados with their exquisite designs and exceptional features.
1. ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL EXPLORER II
ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL EXPLORER II
Renowned for its iconic heritage, Rolex unveiled the updated Oyster Perpetual Explorer II collection. Embodying the spirit of adventure and exploration, this timepiece features a redesigned 42mm case, offering enhanced proportions and comfort. The dial showcases larger hour markers and hands, coated with Chromalight luminescent material for optimal legibility. Equipped
with a new-generation movement, the Calibre 3285, the Explorer II boasts increased precision and a power reserve of up to 70 hours. This robust and reliable watch is a testament to Rolex’s commitment to excellence.
In addition to the standard 12-hour display, the Explorer II has a 24-hour display and a special hand rounds the dial in 24 hours rather than 12 hours, pointing to a fixed bezel with 24-hour graduations. To navigate locations where darkness rules supremely, like the depths of caverns, it is crucial that the wearer be able to tell the difference between the hours of day and night.
2. PATEK PHILIPPE CALATRAVA
PATEK PHILIPPE CALATRAVA
With a new watch in a contemporary, graphic design, Patek Philippe is extending its Calatrava series. The rhythmic geometry, which is accentuated by three different styles of finishing, distinguishes the ebony black dials.
The counters and seconds hands, as well as the stitching and lining of the black calfskin straps with embossed “carbon” pattern, are all decorated with different colour flashes that provide an extra touch of energy to this dynamic design. Self-winding calibre 26-330 S C, with the date and stop seconds at 3 o’clock, beats at the centre of the fully polished white gold case.
The most recent Calatrava 24-Hour Display Travel Time dial indicators were made by manually attaching each of its rose-
gold appliques. The delicate lithographic technique known as “décalque,” which involves using a bulbous silicone pad and
dust-free air to transfer any printing that may be on the dial from the ink on an engraved plate, calls for a steady hand,
constant, even pressure, and a gimlet eye.
3. AUDEMARS PIGUET ROYAL OAK OFFSHORE SELFWINDING CHRONOGRAPH
AUDEMARS PIGUET ROYAL OAK OFFSHORE SELFWINDING CHRONOGRAPH
An excellent addition to Audemars Piguet’s renowned Royal Oak Offshore line was introduced. The 44mm titanium case of the Selfwinding Chronograph is accented with ceramic pushers and a crown, giving it a brash and manly appearance. The Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding Chronograph is a statement piece that embodies modern luxury thanks to its distinctive Méga
Tapisserie dial design and a range of colourful colour combinations.
This 43 mm black ceramic Royal Oak Offshore Selfwinding special edition’s design is influenced by music; its dial resembles a VU metre, and its push-piece guards are reminiscent of mixer faders. The entire design is complemented with a black replaceable rubber strap.
White gold hour markers are added, and the Royal Oak hands have a luminous coating. The dial is black with a printed VU metre. Black ceramic case and bezel, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and case back, a screw-locked crown made of black ceramic, and titanium crown guards and links.
4. FREDERIQUE CONSTANT CLASSICS PREMIER
FREDERIQUE CONSTANT CLASSICS PREMIER
The Classics Premiere clocks are contained in a tiny 38,50mm diameter rose gold-plated or steel casing, which is a subtly elegant blend of history and style. The applied indexes on the dial are designed to revolve around a mother of pearl, diamond
setting, or colimaçon embellishment. One can see the Côtes de Genève complementing the G100 La Joux-Perret movement via the open case back, which has a glass box creating a magnifying glass appearance on the back of the watch.
The guiding principle is the same whether you choose a steel watch with a mother-of-pearl or guilloche dial or a rose gold plated version with a jewelled face and bezel: select the watch that fits your wrist!
5. OMEGA SEAMASTER PLOPROF
OMEGA SEAMASTER PLOPROF
To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Seamaster series, Omega launched a whole line of watches, each having a gradient blue dial. The Ploprof received its first new model in years, and it includes a monobloc case in the company’s O-Megasteel alloy that is shrunk down from the previous generation although the colour was the key novelty for most watches. We’re hoping it’s just the start of a new line of this cool watch, which we can’t help but like.
With OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8912, boasting ground-breaking technology famous for its anti-magnetic resistance, chronometric performance, and precision, this new version features a bold design. The distinctive casing has a polished black ceramic bezel ring with Super-LumiNova filling for greater visibility in the numerals, triangle, and scale. The lacquered black dial is complimented with orange aluminium and varnished white hands, while the case and clasp are made out of lightweight, comfortable Grade 5 titanium.
