COCKTAIL: APEROL SUNSET

The Aperol Sunset concoction is fizzy and vibrant in flavour, softly sweet and just a tiny bit bitter for the perfect pre-dinner sip. Combine the ingredients ensuring that the drink will essentially mix itself, instead of all of the bittersweet Aperol sitting on the bottom of your glass.

INGREDIENTS:

• 3 oz. Prosecco or 2 oz. Tres Agaves Blanco Tequila, chilled
• 11?2 oz. Aperol
• 1 oz. agave syrup
• 3?4 oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice
• 1?2 oz. freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
• Cocktail shaker
• Ice Cubes
• Orange Wheel (for serving)

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.Get a hold of all ingredients and keep them ready.
2.Take a cocktail shaker and fill it with chilled 3 oz. Prosecco or 2 oz. Tres Agaves Blanco Tequila halfway with ice.
3.Then slowly combine in 11?2oz. Aperol, 1 oz. agave syrup, 3?4 oz. freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 1?2 oz. freshly squeezed grapefruit juice in a cocktail shaker with ice.
4.Shake vigorously and strain it into a chilled cocktail glass.
5.Gently stir once and garnish it with an orange wheel.

TIP:

If you add the Aperol first, it’ll sink to the bottom of the glass and just sit there since it’s heavier than the other ingredients. And make sure that the 3 oz. Prosecco or 2 oz. Tres Agaves Blanco Tequila is chilled so it doesn’t lose its fizz.
