Don’t we love complaining about how we have forgotten to pamper ourselves? The excuses can be many — time constraints, demanding work life, jet-lag inducing career — but the crux remains the same. Last month, we decided to replace cribbing with some action. So, we headed booked ourselves at the Six Senses Spa at Jaypee Greens Golf & Spa Resort, to give ourselves complete attention.
Since we wanted to reap maximum benefits in a tiny time frame, we opted for the Holistic massage, designed to evoke deep relaxation, specially tailored to an individual’s need. “It relaxes taut muscles, aids lymphatic drainage, and releases toxins out of the body,” says Dr Rajneesh Kumar, Spa Manager at Six Senses Spa. What else do we need? We know for a fact that physical and emotional stress can be reduced through therapeutic touch, and we were ready for that.
The therapist worked her way to give a relaxing massage; there was a rather stubborn knot that she got obsessed with. After repeated strokes, she was, eventually, able to relax the knot. An hour later, even as the therapist mildly hit the gong to mark the end of the therapy, we did not want the therapy to end.
“We would like to tell you that this treatment will help you calm your senses for a long time to come,” Dr Rajneesh said, and we wouldn’t welcome anything more than that at this point. Next up, the singing bowl ritual for us. Watch this space.
