Audience was awestruck seeing the model, Gigi hadid walking the ramp for the british fashion house Burberry.
Gigi Hadid made her debut modelling for British fashion house Burberry on 17th February. The 23-year-old walked during Riccardo Tisci's February 2019 show - his second catwalk collection for the heritage brand.
The model stormed the runway for the Burberry Autumn/Winter show during London Fashion Week on Sunday alongside the model Irina Shayk. Spotted with bleached eyebrows and a slicked fringe, different from her usual self, with strands of her California blonde hair gelled across her forehead in swirls.
Hadid stepped out during the first portion of the show, showcasing Tisci's take on luxury sportswear. The striking street wear-inspired look from Riccardo Tisci's second collection called "Tempest" for the quintessential British brand. She wore a monochrome zip-front top over a Burberry polo shirt, with a mini skirt and calf-high boots, carrying a matching backpack and puffer coat.
The debut marks a rare London Fashion Week appearance from Hadid, who isn't a regular at the London shows. Although the 23-year-old is a household name and well on her way to supermodel status, the model usually dominates the runways of Milan, Paris and New York, having only previously walked two shows at London Fashion Week in 2017, once for Versus Versace collection designed in collaboration with boyfriend Zayn Malik, followed by Tommy Hilfiger.
Gigi took to the catwalk in the monochrome outfit was the definiton of 'athleisure', consisting of a polo dress adorned with a new Burberry crest, which was layered under a corset top with statement sleeves.
The model expertly stomped down the catwalk wearing leather knee-high boots and for many, however, the outfit wasn't the first thing to catch their eye, as the majority of models took to the catwalk with bleached brows and their hair intricately swirled into various designs on their foreheads.
