Jacquemus celebrated the completion of his design decade in the fashion industry. Going all the way to his home in the South of France, he created a vibrant pink runway in amidst a large field entirely blossomed by lush lavender. He played the card of extravaganza to mark his monumental decade in the industry.
Jacquemus has bought fun and sexiness in the world of clothing and accessories. He has been like a breath of fresh air, giving styles that are both modish and a ‘little less serious’. Obviously, how can you expect a bag of only 6cm to be serious? A vision of a long, long runway in pink and lavender immediately clouds one into a world of poetic and artsy elements. This is where, the teeny tiny bags, overly gigantic hats and oversized coats do the action – they lure you by being laden in summer hues and sharp tailoring amidst the flashy runway. That is the power of a nicely-arranged runway set; you can easily ‘not-hide’ your flaws.
Pieces of elegance?
The integrated collection of both menswear and womenswear confidently exhibited Jacquemus’s style and design game. The floral prints, pieces casually styled over plain white shirts, maxi dresses and bralettes, all gave a sophisticated yet laid-back style. He surely does know how to make the summer stylish and also ‘instagrammable’. The ambiance, the runway, the air had magical vibes through and through.
You could find everything in Jacquemus show. On one side, there were tiny bags that one wouldn’t possibly be able to even carry and on another side, gigantic bags that would let you keep things of all sizes. The gigantic bag was perched across the model’s shoulder and was also seen peeping from her slender size. The tall and young woman looked fierce with her bag - ready to take on the tough road. But, how could she fit through a doorway with that bag? Is something we surely wonder.
Also, micro-mini bags slung across the neck that looked like a pendant would definitely make anyone a fashion enthusiast. But, where is realism?
Big-sized headwear or large hats easily caught the limelight of the show. The gigantic design sculpture couldn’t be ignored at all. One could barely even see the human wearing it let alone the usability of the hat. Everything ‘too’ big or ‘too’ small have been lurking around for a while. The hat is pleasing to look at and everything is modish about it. Are outer aesthetics the only foundation to remain in fashion?
Jacquemus does not fail to enchant us with his artistic creations and goes out of his way to craft ensembles that immediately make him stand out from the crowd.
