Givenchy chose Victoria’s Secret model Blanca Padilla as its brand ambassador. Her flawless complexion and a child-like innocence can be the answer.
Ever since Spanish model Blanca Padilla has walked the ramp, there has never been a dull moment for her. It wasn’t a surprise when Givenchy Beauty made her the face of the brand. Basking in the glory, Blanca unveiled the new foundation and concealer. We recently met her when she spilled the beans about her beauty regime. Excerpts from an interview:
What is your daily skincare and makeup routine?
It is very minimal. I am subject to so many different product when I am working, it is out of my control. So, when I get some time for myself, I try to treat my skin with softness. I apply some natural oils, such as Marula oil, which I mix with hydrating products. It is not convenient for all, but works for me. In the evening, I use retinol, which gives satisfying results. Though, it can be irritating for a certain sensitive skin types. The most important is cleaning the skin. In regards to makeup, I like to play with various Givenchy products. I work on my glow, alternate the eye shadows, and highlight my lips with bright colours.
How do you tackle the dehydration during the travel??
I always try to keep myself hydrated. I drink at least one to two litres of water when I travel by air. I also apply some creams and lotions which are rich in texture. For fighting the jet-lag, no miracle tip or strategy, but lavender oil helps me a lot to relax. I also work a lot on my breathing. From time to time, I keep taking some draining massages for a better blood circulation.
Are you an athletic person?
Yes. I like to do stretching, as well as some yoga asanas.
One beauty faux-pas that you will never do?
A beauty tip that you got to learn backstage?
The preparation of the skin is a major key to a successful makeup.
Have you tried the new foundation from Givenchy that was unveiled recently?
Yes, I have. The Teint Couture Everwear is fantastic. I was blown away from the very first application. The texture and the finish of the product is incredible. It is for the first time that I have discovered a combination of something being waterproof and has a flexible coverage, along with an SPF 20 protection and hydration. I particularly like the fact that the concealer holds as well, without dehydrating the skin. Also, it does not even seep inside the fine lines of expressions.
How was the collaboration with the brand’s makeup artist like?
I love watching Nicolas Degennes work. He constantly pushes the research. The way in which his travel permits him to discover the best of each culture and how he interprets them in his creations is interesting.
