1. LIVA°, ABEKING & RASMUSSEN

1. LIVA°, ABEKING & RASMUSSEN

The 118.2-metre Abeking & Rasmussen flagship has been formerly known as Project Celerius, which is the German yard’s largest built to date and includes a variety of impressive design features, including a Neptune lounge with a 3.4- metre by 1.3 metre semi-submerged window.

Liva O is also home to a crow’s nest at the foot of the mast and a marble-clad firepit in front of a crescent sofa forward on the sundeck. A helipad can be found aft and also has two tender garages, one of which fits a 16-metre tender and was described as a “challenge” to implement by the yard. There is a second tender garage on the main deck forward that accommodates three boats, a fleet of toys and a Triton submersible for seven passengers.

Particular care has been given to the exterior of the yacht, which has been developed in collaboration with Berlin-based company Photon. The shell plates have been laser welded and its anchors are found beneath the waterline to ensure a clean unbroken silhouette. The yacht is fitted with a diesel-electric propulsion system designed for “exceptionally quiet” operation during navigation and manoeuvring. It can cruise at a top speed of 18 knots and has a range of 7,100 nautical miles at 15 knots.

2. ALCHEMY, ROSSINAVI

Rossinavi’s Alchemy is one of the most exciting superyachts to hit the seas this year, and the 216-footer did not disappoint. To that end, the yacht is not only large and luxurious but also stacked with amenities. Alchemy offers a generous amount of square footage over three decks. The calm and elegant living quarters pair a subtle colour palette of beige whereas ivory hues are complemented with a range of natural materials such as teak and marble.

At the centre the sophisticated main salon has a sculptural, suspended staircase that connects the bridge to the upper deck. The salon is also equipped with an oversized sofa, which is, of course, one of a kind. Elsewhere for indoors, there are five impressive cabins outfitted with artworks personally sourced by the owner and other unique furnishings. Up the glass stairs, the bridge is equipped with another salon and an alfresco dining area for more formal occasions. The yacht offers just over 3,500 square feet of outdoor space. There is a beach club, too, with a dedicated massage room.

Naturally, Alchemy can also carry a full fleet of toys. The garage can store paddleboards, tenders, a waterslide, an inflatable dock, and even mountain bikes. To top it off, this is powered by a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system that lowers carbon emissions and thus reduces the yacht’s overall environmental impact. The yard says the yacht’s pods curb the loss of energy between the engines and help maintain a steady navigation speed.

3. PROJECT JAG, LÜRSSEN

German Giga yacht builder Lürssen recently launched the 400-foot Project Jag from its Rendberg facility. The steel-hulled yacht has a beam of 58’5” with a draft of 15’9” and have 11 cabins for 20 guests and crew quarters for 40. The renowned yacht manufacturer, launched Project JAG, a 122-metre marvel.

Delving into the intricate details and narrative behind this creation which not only enhances the comprehension of the vessel but also provides a deeper insight into the project’s essence. Jag features the signature elongated Lürssen bow, with a flared silhouette and long flowing lines.

Project JAG embodies a fusion of opulence and innovation, curated through meticulous planning and design. Standing at an impressive 122 metres and boasting a beam of 17.80 metres, the yacht exudes extraordinary volume. This architectural grandeur harmonises with elegant lines, and reflecting a synergy of aesthetic prowess. Its interior is nothing short of an eloquent testament to maritime luxury that bears the creative signature of the Reymond Langton studio.

Well, it also brags an elongated appearance with a contrasting monochrome hull and superstructure plus abundant exterior deck space, ideal for multiple alfresco dining and lounge options. Creating a unique visual effect, Project Jag has an elegant curve along each side of her superstructure, merging her black and white monotones towards the stern.

4. PROJECT 406, ROYAL HUISMAN

The most-unusual Royal Huisman Project 406 sportfishing yacht nicknamed a sport fisher on steroids, the 177-footer (52- meter), is obviously for an avid angler. Besides having six decks, it has an authentic tower for spotting big ones fore and aft. It’s long bow flows aft into appropriately high bulwarks. The cockpit, complete with nearly a dozen rocket launchers, features a fighting chair, too.

Royal Huisman has unveiled new renderings for this 52-metre sportfishing superyacht, such as an impressive volume of 500 GT spanning six decks. Designed for an experienced owner, the superyacht will be outfitted for both sportfishing and personal use as a luxury motor yacht. The Alustar® aluminium hull, constructed by Royal Huisman offers strength and resilience. It also achieves the lighter weight that ensures a smooth and efficient passage to the fishing grounds.

Project 406’s distinctive design features a long bow and high bulwarks sweeping through a clear sheer to a low and uncluttered cockpit aft. It’s high tower also offers outstanding views with a downward angle on the water for specialised fishing, aided by the onboard equipment geared towards hunting larger predatory fish. Well, that’s not all, it also features a versatile sky lounge where sportfishing can be observed during the day, and can be transformed into a dining and lounge area at night.

5. KORU, OCEANCO

Koru is a 127-metre sailing yacht delivered from Oceanco in the Netherlands. The superyacht is a three-masted schooner built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, being the world’s largest sailing yacht and the longest yacht built in the Netherlands. Well, it was constructed at Oceanco’s Alblasserdam facilities and later moved to Rotterdam where she waited to complete sea trials at a dock in Eemhaven.

The yacht is powered by kinetic energy generated by the sails, but like most sailing yachts, it will have engine power as well. Its power comes from two MTU diesel engines with a gross tonnage of 3493.0 GT and a 16.95 m beam. Being the top 5% by LOA in the world, it is one of 4 sailing yachts longer than 100m.

Koru has a navy hull, red boot stripe, and double-deck wooden coach house. Its profile is characterised by a long bowsprit and a classic canoe stern which will provide enhanced privacy while the yacht is in port. There is also a sizeable dip pool visible on the aft, as well as a crow’s nest on the mizzenmast. Koru will be accompanied by a support vessel which is thought to be built by Damen Yachting, another Dutch yacht builder, which specialises in ocean-going shadow vessels and explorer yachts.

6. ULTRA G, HEESEN

Ultra G has all the offerings of a modern superyacht – large windows, contemporary furnishings, elegant architecture – but what makes her stand out is her abundance of bespoke features. Every inch of the yacht and its potential use has been carefully thought-out. The answer? A special ‘grassy’ area on the deck just off the master cabin. This is a superyacht ‘first’ (to my knowledge) and works through the use of sensors and sprinklers.

A wild foam party on the top deck, sportfishing from the stern, a DJ party in the salon, a games tournament in the media room. And, The list goes on. Each space of the 197-foot Ultra G is designed to defy the usual stereotypes of what a conventional superyacht should look or act like. Its propulsion system is unusually powerful: The 22,000 hp MTU diesels connected to oversized four water jets deliver a top speed of 37 knots.

The 918GT interior will include accommodation for ten guests in four suites on the lower deck. The bridge deck has been reserved for the owner’s accommodation, which comprises a large aft-facing suite that opens onto a private terrace equipped with a Jacuzzi and relaxation area. On the aft, an array of rod holders unveils an in-built flushing system, flash freezers and live wells for bate.
