We had a fun conversation with the lady herself who told us all about her greatest strength in figure skating, favorite actors, parenting advice & so much more. Read on to know all about her!

Welcome to L’Officiel India. Let us first say, you make us proud by wearing so many hats, lawyer, actor, model, figure skater, and above all mother. What made you get into modeling & acting after having become an accomplished executive?

Thank you. I actually started modeling and acting before beginning my executive career. Both have provided me with the artistic expression that I missed upon retiring from skating.

We have seen your social handles filled with positivity; how do you manage to stay positive at all times?

I practice gratitude, challenge my negative thinking and open myself up to humor.

Tell us about your favorite actors in Hollywood?

Robert DeNiro will always be one-off the greats. Daniel Day-Lewis, Tom Hanks, Cate Blanchett, and Tom Cruise, all inspire me.

L’Officiel is all about fashion, what are some of your preferred luxury fashion brands?

My preferred luxury brands are Hermes, Chanel, Cartier, and Dior.

What is your greatest strength as a figure skater?

That is a great question. My greatest strength in figure skating has always been my mental agility and self-discipline.

What’s a typical day in your life like: how does it start, what do you do?

A typical day for me is usually very busy. My day begins with helping my two beautiful daughters get ready for school, followed by a full workday. After work, I make dinner for my family, help the girls with homework, color and play games, and then read to them before bed.

You’re also a mother, which we believe is the greatest role in life. How has it shaped you?

Becoming a mother has absolutely been the greatest role of my life. It has made me more confident, aligned my priorities, and helped me find my true perspective in life. Becoming a mother has made me a better version of myself.

If someone was going to make your life into a movie, who would you want to play you?

That would be Emma Stone.

Tell us a bit about your next project?

I am currently filming a female-lead satirical, black comedy-drama in which I play the lead role of Lo. Playing a character that is so very different from me, with a very different moral compass than myself is fun and challenging.

Any advice that you’d like to give our lovely readers?

Don’t be afraid to look inward and self-reflect. If you don’t like what you see, change your behaviors. But always be true to yourself, kind, and empathetic to others.
