Growing up as a skater and surfer in Southern California, Jim Jordan spent his high school days scouting models and finding the next faces of the upcoming generations. Passionate about beauty and styling, Jim quickly became a respected makeup and hair artist and travelled the world to work with some of the biggest actors and supermodels of our time, such as Elizabeth Taylor, Cindy Crawford, Farrah Fawcett, Whitney Houston, and more. During these years, Jim worked with some of the world’s best photographers, such as Herb Ritts, Peter Lindbergh, and Helmut Newton, and after many years of behind-the-scenes experience, Jim picked up his own camera and developed his own unique style as a photographer.
His creativity and unadulterated raw talent led him on a fateful succession from hunger, brokenness, and down-on-his-luck to a life where everything he touches turns to gold. “I’ve always been an entrepreneur. I don’t know any other way,” said Jordan. “I’m a survivor and have come from nothing. I’ve always been attracted to helping people and beautifying everything I see.” After receiving global recognition from the world’s top designers, Jim’s photography career took off and he was catapulted in the fashion industry and began shooting countless magazine covers of the who’s who in Hollywood like Zendaya, Leonardo DiCaprio, Miley Cyrus, Charlize Theron, and the Kardashian-Jenner’s to name a few.
The world-renowned artist has since built an amazing life and a pristine French country mansion and studio in an exclusive private community that paparazzi would die to get past the guardhouse. With neighbours such as Justin Bieber, Britney Spears, and the Kardashians, Jordan’s world reads like a novel from rags to riches. It is fair to say that this celebrity fashion icon has a lot of fires burning at once. Currently, he dominates the world of fashion photography, directs film and video productions, and manages talent through his company White Cross Management. Jordan has discovered Taylor Hill, Gigi Hadid, and Jeremy Meeks to name a few. He is also writing an autobiography and producing a Netflix TV series that details the courageous ride of his journey from runaway to top celebrity fashion photographer.
“It’s what wakes me up every day – helping people see the greatness I see in everything and everyone,” the talent scout explained. His next big move took him by surprise when his friend and founder of Crypto Gaming United Maurice June introduced him to the Metaverse, Crypto, and NFTs. After realizing the potential, Jordan was all in to pivot into this new space. “I’ve always been a trailblazer and fearless of the unknown, and now I’m creating opportunities in an entirely new digital world,” said Jordan.
Now Jordan’s using his unearthly ability to spot talent and create global superstars as a founder behind the much-awaited Metaverse project: MetaStarz, the first global dance competition where finalists will compete as avatars in the Metaverse. “I am showing people the way that we are forging the future,” explained Jordan. This groundbreaking global phenomenon is beyond anything the world has ever seen. Exploring this uncharted territory will reshape the world and MetaStarz will bring countless opportunities to the entertainment industry.
He is embarking on this quest to help the global entertainment and dance community forge their way, find new footing and long overdue reward in the Metaverse. “The unknown doesn’t scare me. I have a crystal-clear vision of how I see things and they always seem to come to fruition,” explained Jordan. “People are very scared of the things they don’t understand like NFTs, Crypto, and the Metaverse. But I want to lead the way, teach, and transport everyone with me into this new frontier.” As a celebrated ‘star maker’, this brave new world will see the emergence of Jordan finding the first dance celebrity in the Metaverse. He is now holding a mirror to the entertainment industry and is opening a new portal to the next generation of talent through MetaStarz.
