For those of you the months of June-July mean watching players smash the ball in Wimbledon and the sweet scent of all the passion and heat, Pehnhaligons Racquets is the perfect scent for you.
Welcoming the new fragrance to their club, Racquets is the new limited edition by Penhaligon, in 30ml and 100ml with a strong smell of lemon, which can refresh you at any time of the day. Lemon has always been associated with giving us that cool-off, whether in our food or as a drink, and the scent in itself brings the flavour to our mouth.
The theme for the marketing used by the brand is of Tennis, where all their posts on social media and even on their website describe and wittily use the words associated with Tennis and bond them together with their perfume Racquets. From defining the rules of the game to including the scent in the game by stating that they know how to slice lemons and not balls, the idea to bring lemon and racquets into one platform has been brilliantly used by the brand.
The brand also claims on their social media that once you have taken your first whiff of the scent, you will be begging for a second service, and a third and a fourth. Even though the major scent is of citrus, the underlined smell of leather and wood might make you hesitant to try it but we recommend otherwise.

The opening notes as we said are of lemon and leather, which might be off putting for some but as the smell dries down it gives you feeling of brightness, creamy with a sweet musk and leather, balanced enough to make you literally want to try it again.
Although the first thing that might attract your eye to this perfume is not the smell but the packaging of the bottle. The bottles come in two sizes and are cylindrical with a top knot opening and a bow attached just on the mouth of the bottle. Creative, stylish yet elegant and goes with brands other scent bottles, some of which also have almost the same structure.
In all this perfume is definitely a must have, no matter whether you are a big fan of Tennis or not. The brand with its creative advertising caught our eye, but our noses were definitely caught by the fragrance of the lemon and wood in this perfume. And we do want yet another serve, please!
